Thoughts - 3. Through your lens

I’m standing in the shadows of your fight,
Trying to see through the cracks, through the night.
Your world’s a mirror I’ve never touched,
I see it blurred, I feel it rushed.

The colors you see are fading fast,
I can’t hold on, can’t make it last.
The weight of your eyes is a weight of stone,
But I still try to make it known.

I wanna see through your lens,
To understand where the pain begins.
But it's hard to focus on what you feel,
When the world’s too loud to hear what's real.

Your lens is cracked, your vision torn,
The things you've lost, the things you've mourned.
I try to look, but the glass is thick,
I don’t know how to make it click.

Your silence speaks a thousand words,
But I can't hear them, just the hurt.
How do I see what you can't say,
When all I know is to turn away?

I wanna see through your lens,
To understand where the pain begins.
But it's hard to focus on what you feel,
When the world’s too loud to hear what's real.

What if I could see your skies?
What if I could see through your eyes?
Would the world be clearer or just more strange,
If I could feel the way you change?

I wanna see through your lens,
To know your battles, to feel your sins.
But it’s hard to see what’s deep inside,
When the world’s too loud to push aside.

Through your lens, I try to understand,
The colors of your world, the lines in the sand.
I’m still lost in the blur, but I won’t give in,
I’ll try to see the world you’re living in.
