Thoughts - 10. Rising tide

In the beginning, there was light,
But now the earth is dark as night.
The Garden cries, the angels weep,
For souls who sow, yet never reap.

The tide is rising, the heavens roar,
Like Noah’s flood, the waters pour.
A reckoning, the trumpet sounds,
The earth is shaking, lost and found.

From dust we came, to dust we’ll fall,
The lion roars, the prophets call.
We took the fruit, now bear the weight,
The day of judgment comes too late.

The tide is rising, the heavens roar,
Like Noah’s flood, the waters pour.
A reckoning, the trumpet sounds,
The earth is shaking, lost and found.

The river speaks, its waters cry,
As Babel falls and man denies.
The trees will bow, the stars will fall,
The final hour awaits us all.

The tide is rising, the heavens roar,
Like Noah’s flood, the waters pour.
A hymn of light, the earth’s refrain,
Will we repent or drown in vain?

Through the flames, a cross will rise,
A new beginning, a brand new prize.
The flood will pass, the earth will sigh,
And in His grace, we’ll find the sky.
